Who are we ?

Formed in January 2008, Funktion5 is a band made up of a group of people who's aim is to play some Funky music.

What experience do we have ?

Although only formed in January 2008, the band comprises of players with countless years of experience in all genres from Classical to Big Band, Folk to Rock.

Where did the name Funktion5 come from ?

We are based in Stokenchurch, which is Junction 5 on the M40 and we want to play Funky music!

What is our definition of Funk music ?

A tune that when played, you can´t help but knod your head to.

What is the make up of the band ?

We currently have Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard as the back-line. Then we strongly feature the ´Horn´ section made up of 2 Saxes, 2 Trumpets, and a Trombone. Then to front the band we have a singer/compare.
